Sunday Scripture 3/10
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness ;
It really is that simple. We were created in God's image, if more would remember that and reflect that image.

Sunday Scripture 2/24
Proverbs 3: 5,6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding , in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
Sometimes it is hard to trust him, you think you know what is best for you or your children, but God knows much better what he has planned. When we trust him, he makes his plan available to us.

Sunday Scripture 2/10
John 8:58
Verily, Verily I say to you, Before Abraham was, I am.
I love this passage, it simply tells them that before the man you so highly regard , Christ was and will always be.

Scripture Sunday 1/6/13

19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

In order to pray aright, we must enter into the1515 closet and shut the door. We must close the lips andEffectual invocationsilence the material senses. In the quietsanctuary of earnest longings, we must1818 deny sin and plead God’s allness.
My goal for this year is to post a Bible scripture and a piece from Science and Health with Key to the Scripture by Mary Baker Eddy the textbooks used in our weekly service. I will pull from a copy of our weekly Bible Lesson and share my own personal thoughts as well.
I am so grateful that he hears my cries even when I can't put them into words.

Scripture Sunday 12/24
We had an all day family Christmas yesterday so I am posting Scripture Sunday on Monday.
Praying you have a Blessed Christmas with Family and Friends.
Praying you have a Blessed Christmas with Family and Friends.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Knowing that the government will be on HIS shoulders, the earthly government isn't the government the verse is reffing to , but the government of the spiritual. The peace is that of knowing and being at- one with God.
Knowing that God is in control of this world and our spiritual world makes my heart lighter.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
In light of recent events this passage seemed so perfect. The prophecy of his birth and his ultimate power over our world spoke to my heart.
I pray my boys will grow to understand that which he is called.
Wonderful
Counselor
Almighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
Knowing that God is in control of this world and our spiritual world makes my heart lighter.

Sunday Scripture December 16th
I wasn't sure what I was going to share this week, but these verses spoke to be this weekend.
John 1:1-3
John 1:1-3
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Sunday Scripture 12/9
I wasn't going to post a Sunday Scripture this week since I am posting our Fruit of the Spirit lesson with lots of verse, but felt like this verse was telling me to share.
Nehemiah 9:6
King James Version (KJV)
6 Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Have a wonderful week!

Scripture Sunday November 18th
1 Corinthians 2:12,13
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
This one stood out for me in reading last week's lesson.
So did this one:
1 Corinthians 6:20
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Hope you have a blessed week of gratitude.

Scripture Sunday November 4th
Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of the Lord looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Especially today being Election day here in the United States, this verse really struck me and gives me a sense of peace in today.

Sunday Scripture 6/17
We took a week off from school so the boys didn't have to copy the text but did have to read it.
O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee?
The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fullness thereof, thou hast founded
them. Psalms 89:8a ,11

Scripture Sunday
This week the boys had a longer text to copy, but it gave them something to think about.
...when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away... For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
1 Corinthians 13: 10, 12
